THE MYTH

The Morrígan belongs to the bloodier edges of Irish mythology: battle, fate, prophecy and the moment before an outcome is known.

In Cath Maige Tuired, she takes her place among the powers of the Túatha Dé Danann, strengthening them for battle and later proclaiming their victory across Ireland. She is not a gentle guide through change. Her world is one of consequence, sovereignty and the knowledge that some thresholds are crossed only once.

The crow and raven have become inseparable from her later image: dark birds above the battlefield, watching what unfolds below.

There is nothing passive in that gaze.

Morrigu takes its name from this older presence and its form from the raven itself. A talon preserved in silver, worn close to the skin as a reminder to meet what comes with your eyes open.

Morrigu begins with a raven talon.

Rather than recreating its shape by hand, the original natural form was carefully lifecast, preserving its curve, texture and pointed tip before being transformed into sterling silver.

The result keeps the character of the claw intact: curved, tactile and a little dangerous.

Worn alone, a single talon cuts a stark line. Worn as a pair, they frame the face with something darker.

Crafting & shipping timescales

Each talisman is handmade to order and will usually be ready to ship within approximately 4–6 weeks. During especially busy periods, this may take a little longer.
